Last month Ellie's friend, Mckenna moved to Cali. She was heartbroken. We had many "last" playdates, lateovers, parties and phone calls stretching out all month. But wouldn't ya know it...we were in the hospital when their family packed up and moved out. So she missed the actual "goodbye." Which may of just been a good thing. Have you witnessed the drama of 6th grade girls? By the time they had the chance to actually say goodbye it was a quick phone call. Painless. And, rest assured the girls still catch up with one another on the phone these days. But now it's long distance. Mckenna will do great in California but we will sure miss her.
