Goodbye Omaha

On December 31st Debbi and kids left town, and so did we.  Permantantly.  Since our celebrations lasted all month we were able to leave quietly in the afternoon.   Goodbye, Omaha.  You've been good to us.   I am thankful to an amazing ward.  To the people who have taught us much, shown us love and are truley examples of righteousness.  Our callings,  for the opportunites to serve.  And serve some more.  But more abundantly the chance to grow as individuals.   I am thankful to the schools for the talented teachers that cared for my children as if they were their own.   I feel forever grateful to the patient and dedicated aides that helped Zachary everyday.  They saved the day...more times than I can remember.   And, the friends who brightened our days and lifted our burdens.  I am thankful to our friends for the many nights of hysterical laughter... We will miss you, Omaha.

Hello Sioux Falls.

It's only been 2 week but I am happy to report my children love it here.  They have met many friends and are fitting right in.  The social scene, as you know is most important to school aged children.  It's going better than expected and that makes me one happy mama.

So far, we think there is a lot of snow, and it's very cold.  But the people are friendly; down- home "midwest" style.  And the sunsets are beautiful!
(this pic was taken out the car window, while driving.  A visit out to Sioux Falls in Oct)

Don't stop here....I updated thru Dec.  Yay me.  Please overlook all the spelling mistakes.  It's late, lots of posts'...lots of words.
